A film and media studies discussion with a Bucknell professor brought together New York area Bucknellians last night.
“I tell all new students that if they want to be an A-list Hollywood director, they should pack up and move to L.A. immediately,” said Faden. He added that there is a significant job market for people with more practical ambitions.
The Bucknell Club of New York City organized the event. It was held at Tribeca Cinemas, where the Big Apple Film Festival was in full swing. About twenty alumni and parents of current students reconnected over drinks and hors d’oeuvres, exchanging business cards and reminiscing about old friends.
Alumni affairs representative Jenna Tesauro, class of 2007, said the event was only the first in what Bucknell envisions to be a series of such gatherings.
