Touche, Mrs.Woods..excuse me, Elin, touche.

Elin Woods purchased a house with her sister in Switzerland for $2 million dollars a couple of days after her husband’s affairs became public.

In fact, Elin allegedly even told Tiger Woods yesterday, “It’s golf..or me.”

Just because your husband is a public figure doesn’t mean you are supposed to not be treated with the same vows a person takes to their wife. As a female, I am really glad she is standing up for herself, unlike other wives whose famous husbands are caught cheating and they still stand there looking stupid, literally, in the background.

But look at Jenny Sanford, wife of Governor Mark Sanford who is filing for divorce from her husband after a public embarrassing affair he carried on with a reporter in Argentina, Maria Belen Chapur. You can catch Chapur on video reporting below (at about :37 seconds).

Unlike other wives, Elin and Jenny are perhaps the new breed of celebrity wives. “It doesn’t matter who you are, you still can’t cheat on me and you owe me respect.” And they put their respect where their mouths and actions are, or in Elin’s case, by using a golf club.
