Foreigners Fighting for Citizenship

Out of the 157 anxious immigrants anticipating the start of the naturalization ceremony on 13 November, 17 of them were military personnel. In honor of Veterans Day, the ceremony was held aboard the historic aircraft carrier, the USS Intrepid. The new citizens ranged in ages from 19 to 75 and hailed from 47 different countries.
